A Modern Tale

Not too long ago, Onsu graciously gifted their lovely members the Princeton House.  I was beyond happy to see this beautiful little charm when I set my eyes upon it.  In an instant I knew it was the house I was going to make my next project.

Around the same time, the wonderful Apple Fall had done an amazing sale for Black Friday which I went just a tad bit overboard at. NO REGRETS!  I knew then that I had the collaboration of a lifetime.

Thus, this beautiful creation was done.

I started with the living room this time.  I wanted to make my workspace as organized as possible and it helped that all I was doing was sifting through my AF decor.  One by one, I laid it all out, categorizing it all into their respective places.  Putting this beautiful space together was so effortless and came together beautifully, piece by piece.

I then made my way to the kitchen, bringing to life all of the beautiful kitchenware that AF has to offer.  With every piece, the warmth and coziness began to emanate from the walls and you could almost smell the fresh bread there on the counter.

After admiring the masterpiece of the kitchen, I made my way to the bedroom.  I had so much fun with the bedroom, connecting all the pieces together to make a cozy space.  It was proven then to me that this house was made to be filled with Apple Fall gems.

The office was brought to life with a desk, a settee, some panels, and the beautiful, vibrant Noel cabinet.  Work would never feel like work in this beautiful space.

In just a matter of days, I was able to bring to life a beautiful creation using only Apple Fall decor in this beautiful Onsu home.  Complete with one bedroom, an office, kitchen, living room, and bathroom - it's the perfect starter home for any landscaped theme.

Countryside Feels

I decorated this lovely home called "La Petite Ferme" by HISA a few months ago on a whim.  When it was first released, I knew I had to have it.  Its beautiful rundown, weathered look reminded me so much of traveling down the winding roads in the countryside of a small town in Norway oh so long ago.  With each piece, it brought to life the feeling of "home".

For some reason, I always start in the kitchen.  I thought maybe it was because this one was so unique and it came quickly to me, what I wanted to do with it.  But no, it turns out that I start in the kitchen with every single one of my houses.  Maybe that's my favorite place in my home and I'm not even aware of it, hehe.  Bringing this kitchen to life was not only so fun but also so intuitively easy.  It was my blank canvas which I saw a vision for and once I started filling it in, I couldn't stop.

After I finished the kitchen, I pretty much just flowed into the living room which I did not picture (it's been a long day) but I can promise is also a very beautiful space in the house as well.  Furnished with a beautiful piano, warm fireplace, and an abundance of pillows, it's definitely a room that will make you just want to bundle up on the couch with a warm cup of tea and a good book.  Upstairs, there is the beautiful bedroom and bathroom perfectly laid out for this quaint home.  The bedroom is filled with just enough to welcome you with its warm, soft bed and comforting surroundings.

Lastly, but definitely not least, was the bathroom.  Just like I start with the kitchen, I finish with the bathroom.  Does this mean something?  Haha.  It's the perfect size for everything you need in a bathroom to spend long hours unwinding from any day.

Everything about this house and filling it in to make it a home reminded me of so many experiences I had many years ago.  Places I visited, people I met, all pleasant, warm, inviting memories.  It's amazing the sorts of things that will trigger this part of your memory.  Who knew.  I hope you find the time to visit and see this lovely home, even if it is just to walk through and experience a bit of the warm country life yourself.

The Beginning

I am so very happy to be launching my little blog to share with you one of the things I love doing most in SL: decorating homes.  I've been decorating virtual homes since I was teenager, having my start in The Sims (yes, I'm that old).  While I do most of my decorating virtually, I do have a knack for RL decorating as well, arranging and rearranging my house quite a bit.  I find making lovely spaces therapeutic and good for my soul.  As I was finishing up one of my lovely homes one day a few months ago, hanging the last picture on the wall, I thought to myself, "Now what?".  I realized that I had been creating beautiful spaces only to tuck them away into my inventory to collect dust.  The only way I thought to share them was to give them an outlet, such as here, and offer them to others to enjoy living in just as much as I enjoyed creating them.

I had, and still have, so much help and support behind me through the fruition of this little project I call Arranged Space Homes.  Without my wonderful friends whom I love with my entire being, this truly wouldn't exist.  I couldn't be more grateful for them nor everything they have done to make this possible. This also would not have been possible without the gifted and talented creators of everything I used that helped bring my creations to life as well.  I hope to only share the form of art that I put out in this other world with the intention of giving someone a home they love spending time in, making memories with those they love as well.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope that you also do what makes you happy, whatever that may be.

Be Well and Lots of Love,

Effie Applewhyte ♥
